No Doctor or any medical official ever mentioned the following words which my body desperately needed, Glucosamine, gelatine, collagen and gelatin.
I make my own Bone Broth every two weeks. Making broths from bones containing significant amounts of gristle and cartilage such as beef or pork knuckles, lean red meats, chicken feet or rib bones is very beneficial. Bone marrow also has a lot of collagen and geletin.
Homemade broth can produce a highly nutritious soup containing chondroitin sulfates and Glucosamine which is an expensive supplements for arthritis and joint pain. Cartilage is helpful in treating certain joint diseases, arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.
It is also helpful in boosting the immune system function. A diet high in Collagen can provide extra support for tendons and ligaments. Full of the amino acids necessary for collagen production. The calcium, magnesium and phosphorus in bone broth helps bones to grow and repair. The gelatin in bone broth protects and heals the mucosal lining of the digestive tract and helps aid in the digestion of nutrients.
I use my broth as a stock to add to soups or to make rice. I also buy the supplements as an extra precaution, but because they're quite pricey, and the fact I make my own, I only take half the recommended dose. I add garlic and ginger in the last few hours when I make it.

The cartilage from joints is the kind incorporated into bone broth. It’s useful for strengthening the bones and support joints and tendons postpartum. I use bone marrow along with lots of Chicken feet and a Chicken carcass

Glucosamine is a naturally occurring substance found in the fluid around joints. It is naturally present in animal bones, bone marrow, shellfish and fungi. Found in bones and see food exoskeletons. Glucosamine is found naturally in your body. It plays an important role in making glycosaminoglycans and glycoproteins, which are essential building blocks of many parts of your joints, including ligaments, tendons, cartilage and synovial fluid. Studies have found that glucosamine can delay the breakdown of cartilage as well as rebuild it, effectively relieves pain, swelling and stiffness in people with a chronic and debilitating condition. Its benefits have been most conclusively demonstrated for people with mild to moderate forms of osteoarthritis affecting the knee and and joint pain.
Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are natural substances found in and around the cells of cartilage. Glucosamine is an amino sugar that the body produces and distributes in cartilage and other connective tissue, and chondroitin sulfate is a complex carbohydrate that helps cartilage retain water. Collagen is the single most abundant protein in the animal kingdom and an abundant protein found in the body. It forms connective tissues such as tendons and ligaments of vertebrate animals. It’s abundant in bone, marrow, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. Another collagen producing agent are dark green leaf vegetable. Collagen is also good for hair, skin and nails. I eat spinach, cabbage, broccoli and kale in addition to consuming Collagen supplements (powder).
Collagen makes up to a 3rd of the protein in a human body and is the most important protein in skin, tissue and bones.
The body's natural ability to repair supporting connective tissue (bone, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, skin, hair, and nails diminishes in one's mid twenties. Collagen contains amimo acids such as glycine, lysine, and proline, which are important amino acids and can be used by the body to build connective tissue structures to support the function of the cells. Hydrolysed Collagen is the same collagen found naturally in bones, skin and cartilage. It is a bio-active product containing 90% protein and is easily assimilated by the body.
Once I started consuming this, I noticed my progress and recovery rate from training was much quicker.
Gelatin is a protein derived of collagen and is acquired from various animal by-products. It is a brittle, colorless, translucent, and flavorless substance. The breakdown of collagen can be found in crabs, crayfish, lobsters and shrimps exoskeletons and are used as a medical treatment to provide bone-building minerals and prevents bone loss and reduces join pain. The breakdown of collagen in bone broths is what produces gelatin. I don't make this using fish exoskeletons. I obtain gelatin from my bone broth.
I make my own Calcium using Egg Shells - Calcium Clinical and experimental studies showed that eggshell powder has positive effects on bone and cartilage and the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. 1 tsp. contains approximately 800-1,000 mg. of calcium. Depending on age, size and sex will depend on how much should be taken per day.
Rose-Hip Berries is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Regular consumption helps to increase mobility. Decreases pain and improves overall mood and a significant reduction in pain, stiffness and joint inflammation. The anti-inflammatory properties of rose hips are useful in the treatment of patients suffering from knee or hip arthritis. Be sure they have not been treated with herbicides or pesticides. Note: Most of the vitamin C can be destroyed during drying and packaging. I have one cup per day.
Whole Grains are full of Beta Glucan & Avenanthramide which can boost bone mineral density, lower blood pressure, promote healthy gut bacteria and reduce the risk of diabetes.
I'm now in control of what I consume. No preservatives. No E numbers. No processed foods. No nothing. Just healthy nutritional goodness.
